High Voltage Cable Inspection

This quality-control system was designed for a large High Voltage Cable Manufacturer.

 The system inspects sectioned samples of a cable to determine the concentricity of the inner core to the surrounding insulating layers and the diameter of each layer and the overall diameter of the cable. This is done by rotating the sectioned sample and taking measurements at specific markers.

The High Voltage Cable Checker comprises an inspection tool coupled to a motion controller, with the data retained on the associated PC.

The system also features a Video Printer to allow a visual record to be retained.
